Artist Statement
My work is an attempt at collecting, documenting, interpreting and conserving the natural world. I’ve acquired a growing and withering collection of found organic material such as leaves, 莫斯, 花, 和树皮. I combine these found materials with cast glass and metal, producing a reproduction of nature that has a focus on textured forms. Being from the Adirondacks impacted me as a person. I used the environment as a control factor in my life. Nature grounded me, and now my practice does.
